Why am I writing?

I understand that, to an extent, perspective is somewhat novel. In many ways, I don’t feel it is, however, I do have a need to share my experiences of being in Ukraine during the war. I’ve certainly avoided the harrowing events that many faced, yet after years of living here, and studying the country, I hope that I can share some longer form writing for people to enjoy. If anything, it can at least allow me to write more frequently, and give me a bit of internal peace.

In addition, I am a PhD student, I should use some of my education to share some insight, and practice writing for a wider audience.

I intend to write primarily about my views about Ukraine, my experiences here both before and since the 24th of February, and occasional thoughts on wider political issues, primarily from a theoretical lens.
